hs305 gave this whisky 93 points

[February, 2003]  I had this during a Grant Carmichael "Islay" tasting at Rolandsbogen.

In my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50 - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored this 92,5.  My notes state an intense aroma of pears and toffee.  The taste is peaty and well balanced.  A very delicious dram!

So, after this tasting there were only 40 bottles left...

There is no accounting for taste...
