Unfortunately only slightly more intense than the 12 single barrel. I hoped for more. The surcharge is therefore only of limited value.
Soft and gentle, fresh summer start, immediately a full citrus note comes over, plus vanilla and a slightly sour touch of grapefruit / limes. Some malt with fresh bread dough comes through. With a little time, light grassy notes with fruity components come to apple. Alcohol doesn't really stand out.
Oily, soft, creamy, light tingling. Subtly spicy, malty, fruity like apple and light grapes. More vanilla and citrus. Dry with something like marzipan and caramelized sugar.
A tasteful oak flavor sets a good contrast.
Medium-long finish, dry with vanilla and limes and a slightly sweet finish.
