    Bottled 2013, distilled 1991. 1st fill
    bourbon casks, 46% ncf.

    First Glass: very delicate indiscernible nose,
    spirity, sharp nip on the nose (made my eyes water!), lacking character, but
    delicate orange/ citrus, v dry long(ish) finish, age not noticeable. Second
    tasting improved, a delicate whisky, some more oak, more complexity, becoming
    sweeter, delicate barley and sugar, nip has gone, damp earth (sweet pastry?)
    aroma notes on top of citrus. Third tasting, instant long rich finish,
    showing more subtle fruit (pear) and even coconut (confirmed by Dean!).
    Superlative!  Score revised upwards.

    I feel spicy when it touch my tongue.
    Some minutes later, I did not really feel spicy but sweet.
    It tasted like rum for some seconds.
    Later, I feel spicy again.

    Certainly a good malt, but you wouldn't get to 21 in a blind tasting.
    [Color] white wine;
    • Nose
      floral, fruity (pear, peach), buttery, sweet, vanilla;
    • Taste
      strong, spicy (alcohol) onset, juicy peach, slightly sparkling, spicy, creamy, voluminous;
    • Finish
      long, creamy (vanilla); spicy dry oak;

    A very harmonious bottling, wonderful aromas in the nose and especially in the mouth. A firstfill bourbon barrel and a long way from being boring.
    • Nose
      A potpourri of tropical fruits, peach, Sharon fruit, orange peel, including a heavy sweetness, even marzipan and a hint of vanilla. Also, some green grass floats through the glass. From the alcohol is nothing to feel, even the oak holds back very much.
    • Taste
      The whisky glides oily in the mouth, briefly the tropical fruits, then the sharpness of the alcohol on the tongue bizzles. Suddenly, the custard comes around the corner and dominates with increasing sweetness of the mouth. Nice creamy mouthfeel.
    • Finish
      The pudding remains, almost slowly comes some oak, flow of flow begins. Very long remains a hint of vanilla and caramel.
