Bottled 2013, distilled 1991. 1st fill
bourbon casks, 46% ncf.
First Glass: very delicate indiscernible nose,
spirity, sharp nip on the nose (made my eyes water!), lacking character, but
delicate orange/ citrus, v dry long(ish) finish, age not noticeable. Second
tasting improved, a delicate whisky, some more oak, more complexity, becoming
sweeter, delicate barley and sugar, nip has gone, damp earth (sweet pastry?)
aroma notes on top of citrus. Third tasting, instant long rich finish,
showing more subtle fruit (pear) and even coconut (confirmed by Dean!).
