This whisky has a very good nose and taste and you realize that the Burgundy Wood Finish is really something special. Unfortunately The finish is very wooden and bitter and therefore the dram remains worse in the mouth as it actually is.

  9. drkrylov scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

Finished in Burgundy barrels, this is one earthy

Glenmorangie, an interesting dram for sure, and one that bears little

    resemblance to the standard bottling.

  10. granella2003 scored this whisky 78 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Woody, red grapes and raisins with sea saltiness and overripe red berries.
    • Taste
Quite tannic and peppery, there is a vanilla sweetness here but the oak wood runs the show. The saltiness comes through in the middle with a bit of the red fruit.
    • Finish
Medium length and earthy. Quite dry but leaves a lasting honey grape sweetness
