Rarely had such a sweet malt in the glass. You have to like or catch the right opportunity. Can I imagine as an aperitif?
    • Nose
Very fruity nose. In the beginning it is difficult to separate the fruits. Over time, overripe bananas, squeaky-sweet peaches, sugared pineapple show up. The smell of a newly opened bag of Tropi-Frutti.
    • Taste
It is also sweet on the tongue. Very creamy, liqueur-like. Again the fruits from the tropical garden, above all pineapple. Sweet sweet apples next to it. Sweet child chewing gum. Flowerhoney. After a while, a woody herbal note appears.
    • Finish
Fruit sweetness until the dry finish. A few mild spices at the end.

    Irish Single Malt 2003 - 2014, 10 years, 49.5% alc.
    Bottler: Whisky-Fässle
    Expansion: hogshead
Region: Ireland ... Nose: Very fruity and sweet, with lots of banana, cotton candy and candy mass. A little mandarin and unspecified tropical fruits. In the background hovers a breath of mint. Palate: sweet, very sweet. Banana porridge with honey, jelly-bellys and nuts. In addition a dry woody spice, cereals and a few stronger spices, but without any bitterness. Finish: Long and sweet, but less fruit. For cinnamon. Conclusion: Saulecker. A whisky for enjoyment with friends, nothing complicated.
    86/100 points (tasted 2015, approx. 70 €)
