One of the freshest Ardbeg I've had, with sublime peatiness and maritime character with a hint of chlorine.

Nose: medicine, mustiness, heather elements. Cloves, cucumbers.
Taste: From the very first try, you can feel earthiness with a little acidity. In addition, peat, wherever you try to break through with sweet elements, but everything is perfectly combined with each other. You can definitely feel that it is an "old ardbeg school".
Rating 92 | 100 Finish rather short with very mild smoke elements. A really very good bottle !. One of the best Ardbegs I have ever tried.

A unique 70's Ardbeg. Musty. Earthy.

Super fresh, yet old and musty! I don't remember if I've ever tasted a 70's Ardbeg as musty as this one. A bit sour, even, and definitely earthy! Salty sea salt! A very exciting, unique nose, with a good layer of fruitiness underneath the mustiness.

Creamy, earthy, peaty, still with a bit of sourness, perhaps a kind of vegetal peat. Again, there is a sweetness that is not very discernible. A bit of lemon, yes. But again, the mouthfeel is wonderful -- viscous and thick. Perfect balance, and extremely drinkable despite the uniqueness.

Faultless. A wonderful finish. Bottled at the perfect age. I love it.

  5. Missalotta scored this whisky 92 points Connoisseur

Appearance: Light straw, thin in the glass

Nose: phenol, salt, Sylter Royal Oyster (only know the)

Palate: Behave, I miss something the lemony of old Ardbegs,
    Peat, mint and tar

Finish; long, salty, slightly metallic, warmed.

Generally air does him good, more of a stammerer, locked Ardbeg.
It takes some time and 1-2 drops of water open it a bit.

Good OMC Ardbeg, but not really at the top.
    • Nose
First closed, musty. Then phenol, iodine and some alcohol.
    • Taste
Charcoal, sweetness, alcohol. Later fruit flavors, almost perfume-like.
      Becomes sweeter with water.

an Ardbeg that needs a bit more attention
    but very nice notes developed
a successful composition of changing notes
who interweave well with each other
and form a continuous line from the nose to the finish

    yes, I'm in heaven

    in the tasting vs
    • Nose
A gust of wind from the sea blows into the kitchen
It tastes of menthol and salt
as salty as the smoked ham
you filled with fresh goat cheese
It should be a nice day
      she will like your food
brown cloves you press into the lemon
      one breaks between your fingers
and exudes her dark spicy aroma
      You're smiling
Next time you will bake a spice cake with lots of chocolate
a nice spicy smell will welcome you
    • Taste
      chocolate - spicy
a touch of sensual femininity in the middle of male Ardbeg
    • Finish
      anything you want
      soft and yet snappy
      sweet yes, definitely
      but also spicy like pepper
      a perfect mix
and the memory stays - long, very long
