- This is certainly not a bad whisky, but for me it's too oaky and its influence pushes all the good things aside.
Gentle aromas of honey, candy floss, vanilla, pepper and a hint of nail polish remover/alcohol.
Quite thick and oily. A nice fruity side with hint of tropical fruits salad, but then a rather nervous, spicy attack follows. Too much wood makes it bitterish and tannic.
Sweet at first, but rapidly becomes tannic and bitterish, too much oak.
- Nice old speysider with a broad spectrum of interesting tastes. Nonetheless a bit steep price wise.
Dried up fruit and potpourri. Very floral with a dusty side. A nice old nose. After a while the real fruit pops up and it becomes a tropical (dusty) dish.
Mango, Coconuts and bananas give it a nice sweetness. Zesty from white pepper, cinnamon and a sugared bread. I also got licorice allsorts.
The oak won't dry up in the end, but is present.
