Bottler: Hepburns Choice (Langside Distillers)
Expansion: Refill Butt
Region: Isle of Jura, Scotland Nose: Fresh and young, slightly smoky and dry at first appearance, with a hint of alcohol. Behind it are light fruit flavors, including bananas and apricots, oranges and almonds, a hint of marzipan. The aromas are concentrated and he remains a strong peach note and in the background black tea, a hint of tobacco.
Palate: Fruity with nuts and malt. Dry with cereals and very immature banana, the other fruit flavors are not nearly as strong as in the nose. Marzipan and pepper.
Finish: Rather short and malty, but comes back with dry nut flavors.
Conclusion: A really beautiful Jura with a nose that can see (or smell better).
84/100 points (tasted 2015)
