After opening the bottle is a bit hard and far from as pleasant and interesting as after a long time of opening and drinking at least a third of the volume. Over time, it got into shape. So in this respect, similar to the official bottling of Clynelish 14yo. Alcohol is very pronounced, so the addition of water is clearly offered. The long body takes care of fun.
    • Nose
Floral scent. Nail polish, propolis, vanilla, pear.

With water, the smell is quite significantly reduced. Preserved apples including pickle. Vaseline and wet gravel.
    • Taste
Yellow mirabelle, vanilla pudding, lemon juice, pepper, marzipan, chilli, hot radish, unripe peach, unripe gooseberry. Relatively long body. The typical waxiness for Clynelish is there all the time.

With water: Dried lemon peel. After further adding water lemon wafers and lemon cream. Sweetness, pepper and bitterness intermingle. After a long time on the palate salted and peppered kiwi.
    • Finish
Grass stem. Slightly bitter and dry, woody. Fruit stone, blackthorn, white wine, grape seed, citrus peel. The waxiness persists.

With water, the bitterness becomes a little more pronounced, but at the same time softens. Wood, mint, cumin and, after a very long time, starch.
