With water, the smell is quite significantly reduced. Preserved apples including pickle. Vaseline and wet gravel.
Yellow mirabelle, vanilla pudding, lemon juice, pepper, marzipan, chilli, hot radish, unripe peach, unripe gooseberry. Relatively long body. The typical waxiness for Clynelish is there all the time.
With water: Dried lemon peel. After further adding water lemon wafers and lemon cream. Sweetness, pepper and bitterness intermingle. After a long time on the palate salted and peppered kiwi.
Grass stem. Slightly bitter and dry, woody. Fruit stone, blackthorn, white wine, grape seed, citrus peel. The waxiness persists.
With water, the bitterness becomes a little more pronounced, but at the same time softens. Wood, mint, cumin and, after a very long time, starch.
