    • Nose
Wonderfully ripe and slightly sherrytönig. First, ripe fruits, some honey and malty aromas. Behind it oak and soft smoke. Very tightly assembled. Later also soaked fruit bread, oily grapefruit and a trace of salt.
    • Taste
Soft, slightly oily onset. Again slightly sherrytönig with oak, dried fruit, dark honey and nuts - In addition, malt, earthy aromas, metallic accents, smoke and a trace of salt.
    • Finish
Medium length, fruity Relflexe, oak, leather, dark chocolate and delicate smoke.

The nose gets considerable better with time.

After 2 weeks of opening I can smell the peat on the nose clearly and taste it considerably more on the palate but its integration act as a part of the complete profile.

I guess mine bottle is old so the whisky inside was quite muted at first.

Definitely not modern blend and after taking time with it it is rewarding experience.

Its whisky you can spend good time with, its complex and rewarding experience. The peat appears softly on the nose and arrives on the palate after the fruits and then appear in the latest part of the finish. Mine bottling is with Japanese rear label without any tax stamp
    • Nose
The nose is closed at first and very gentle, it takes 10 mins for it to open up. The profile is close to old pulteney 21 at first but fruitier and fuller, I cannot detect any peat. But first impression isnt really impressive. The nose gets better as the times goes by. Then the precious woods arrive and the nose starts to be really good. Its a gentle but full nose after 15 minutes.

( updated after 2 weeks from opening. The nose is peaty as well now with 1st nosing. Straight away I can detect it although is integrated and not loud it works well as a whole.

I suggest because mine bottle looks old and it doesnt have any VAT stamp on it  I recon that was why I couldnt detect peat on the nose after opening the bottle.)
    • Taste
Full rich arrival, didnt expect that after the nose. Slightly salty on caramel and fruits, dusted sugar, slightly bitter, spicy full body for blend, and to me its delicious. Then the peat smoke arrive ( like Lagavulin 16 ), its nice integrated into the profile. It isnt too sweet or too salty or bitter. Its balanced dram. The wood again is there as a support and I can tell the casks were of good quality. There isnt any off notes. It has a very nice juicy/fruity backbone.
    • Finish
The finish is long, nice spicy, salty, with peaty tail, with the flavors nice balancing each other out, well composed blend. There isnt any young grain shouting out, very good.
