Delicate smoke and peat, ash, wet earth, old furniture, tobacco, lemon zest, canned fruits (plums, peaches), ink, metal shavings. 22

Medium-bodied, moderately sweet. Smoke, peat, citrus zest, creamy caramel, a little salt, raw sunflower seeds, phenolic motifs. 22

Very long, gradually decaying, phenolic. 22
A powerful yet smooth and balanced smoky whisky. Balance 22

Everything is on the case, everything is in place, the phases are consistent, charismatic, but lack of mobility, too discreet Smoky tannins - this is the defining link of the molt!
    • Nose
      88 88
Dry tree, medicines and infusions (oak bark, St. John's wort), iodine is more restrained, walnuts, bourbon barrel, varnish, drying oil, dried apples, baked potatoes with ash, menthol cigarettes, spices, white pepper, lilies, vanilla. Good, but ... I wanted more. My doubts were dispelled by my 7-year-old son, who, according to the first train, said that DE DEr is tastier and brighter.
    • Taste
      89 89
Temperamental molt, a lot of smoke, tannins, quite dry, tobacco, apples, vanilla, zest, grilled meat, industrial and phenolic topic.
    • Finish
      87 87
The finish is much simpler, medium, smoky tobacco, ash, but no hints of fruit.

This is almost unbeatable, absolute fulfillment in the whisky sky!
    • Nose
Peat, a light dash of phenols, figs, salt, some mint in the background, citrus fruits, a little bit of bad luck ... and at the end even clear sherry casks!
    • Taste
The drop takes everything elegantly: light oiliness, lemon zest, peat etc.
    • Finish
Ash, forest honey, orange peel, spices, dried fruit, very complex. The dry sherry shortens the finish a little bit.

    A superb whisky (92)
    • Nose
Orange citrus, fruity and a really nice sweetness. Coastal notes as you would expect, but the peat is surprisingly low-key in my opinion. A lot of waxy notes and rose pepper. In addition, honey, tobacco and medicinal notes. The sherry does not overpower in any way! (90)
    • Taste
Robust and rich, peat and with tons of fruity sweetness, liquorice, ginger and clear hints of oak. An amazing Whisky.(92)
    • Finish
Quite long and a bit spicy with dried fruits, cinnamon and tobacco. (92)
