    N: Again, we are talking about a nutty/coppery > sulphury number, though this one’s a little off-kilter.
T: Possesses a distinct coppery/metallic note with spirity linseed oil overtones I’ve had before from a Speyside Distillery bottling [blog] - also a 22yo. With water it’s a touch richer but there’s little hope for this one. Probably a non-compromising astringent [Mannochmore-esque] malt when first opened.
    F: Gone.
C: I thought this would give more, yet it just scrapes the score board. Very likely a faded bottle. Maybe my palate isn’t the best either.

cool stuff, independent, old, strong yummy
    • Nose
spicy sweet, fruity oranges, apples, mint, old herbs that rise oily, oak - old, complex, charming, malt and roasted notes, a hint of smoke, nice dense - full - strong nose, after the first sip there is a moderate cellar
    • Taste
fruity first sour, becoming sweeter, very ripe apple, intensive mushrooms on wet old rotten wood, very spicy mouth-filling Camembert cheese crust, intense oak, very spicy, peppery, intense vegetal notes on the tongue,
    • Finish
very long spicy spicy woody sweet finish that still carries oranges

    Colour: Gold
Nose: Oaky, smooth, spicy, floral, slightly smoky, on vanilla
and some honey. Cleaner and rougher that the Cooper’s choice.
    Taste: Smooth,
spicy, oaky, slightly bitter, floral, aromatic, on ginger, peat smoke, vanilla,
and a touch of honey. Complex. The finish is medium, spicy, slightly aromatic,
fragrant and bitter, on tonic water, oak spices and some light peat
    smoke.
Impression: A good and intense Glen Garioch, with some candied ginger http://www.whisky-news.com/En/tasting24.html#May13
