Whisky Reviews for Sullivans Cove 2000
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.00 points
- Nose on bourbon vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla cream. A little erased but very charming. Some floral touches. Candied fruits. The mouth follows the nose but expresses more power, especially in the middle of the mouth. The attack is a little shy and all round. Everything is well balanced and nice. A dram uninhibited, easy enough. Relax!
- Nice nose, very bourboneux. Wood, caramel, toasted vanilla, dry white grapes.
Mouth wise first, it asserts itself over the dram. Here too, it looks like a bourbon. Dry fruit candy, burnt caramel, varnished wood.
Finer, more toned and vivacious, on oily wood and exotic spices.
Nice as a whole.
- N: Choc orange, caramel.
P: Honey, toffee, dark fruit chocolate, creamy mouth feel.
F: medium length, hint of spice with that sort of dark fruit choc business still going on.
Alcohol seems well balanced with a short sharp snap. Something like sweet port in the background through the whole dram. The nose comes into it's own the more you sip - caramel pop corn and sweet spice.
