Whisky Reviews for Old Pulteney 2006 MC
2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 84.35 points
- Color: White Wine, natural color, mixed legs.
Nose: Eau-de-vie, new make, grain, pear, some yellow fruit (peach?) maritime.
Palate: Eau-de-vie, a little alcohol, salty, maritime.
Finish: short to medium, alcohol, little salt, grainy.
With water: a little more pear & peach, less grainy.
Upshot: Nice young expression, still pretty close to new make / eau-de-vie, probably had benefited from another 8 years in the cask. Ideal for a sundowner with a few drops of water. Nice salty and maritime character that just lacks a few years maturation
