A wonderful inviting nose, offers light tropical fruit mix and elements of fruity bubble gum. You can smell a sherry influence but its not the usual Dalmore creamy Olorosso/Matusalem. Light vanilla, caramel/toffee. Water is not changing the nose much.
Mouthfeel is oily and you can feel the high alcohol strength. You can taste the oak influence of the cask, a light sweetness but different from the nose, this is soon overtaken by heavy grassy/cereal and almost damp wood, musty taste. The taste leaves a much more savoury note rather than the fruit from the nose.
Water brings out more fruit notes but again they are soon overtaken by the heavy cask influence and balance of this with a light sherry note.
Medium and quite complex, with the sherry influence finally breaking through in the end. Notes of tobacco and a little light vanilla.
