    • Nose

N: alcohol present but not aggressive. Compared to other Abunad'h tasted recently this seems a bit 'more adult and that his confessed youths sink into a sherried profile first class. It seems to pucciare the face in cherry jam, in a blaze of red fruit. Burnt caramel spikes; raisins and orange peel in chocolate. It was said, however, of a beautiful deep sherry: coffee, cigar tobacco ... In short, a great enveloping complexity. P: the impression of not too much youth prevails. The attack is of great consistency and of great intensity: there are still in fact a cherry and a panellanic red fruit from panic; then the orange comes out great, a true surprise of the palate. Chocolate and amaretti. However, compared to the nose, there is more freshness, with the malt that manages to emerge, battling with the sherry without then merging completely; what remains perhaps the biggest flaw of a palate otherwise more than decent. F: medium-long, intense, malt and red fruit that replicate the palate's ballet. Excellent, as written it seems more 'dense', more full-bodied and balanced compared to other versions; in any case, a whisky in no uncertain terms that will seduce those who are fetishists of a marching and aggressive sherry. http://whiskyfacile.com/2014/07/05/aberlour-abunadh-batch-18-2006-ob-597/

    A good balanced sherry monster!

I Love the power of Aberlour! It has great taste of sherry and fruits.

This also is a powerful scotch so I don`t recommend it to new whisky

users. It is good to gain a palate that recognizes the difference

between cask strength and some that are less ABV like 40% or 43%.
