Central note: apple, apple, apple ;-)
This whisky is not a complexity monster, but definitely tastes better than 95% of German whiskys. Sweet and absolutely great PLV. Recommendation! The sometimes very low rating I can not understand. He outshines any standard blends.
But clearly: that is a matter of opinion

Nosing the just opened bottle I was already pleasantly suprised.
A gentle nose with fruit and marzipan and a little alcohol burn which fades away while beeing inside the glass for a while.

Taste is smooth with almost no burn at all, fresh green apples, brown sugar, some cinnamon and at the end some black pepper.

The finish is a little short but still quite pleasant for under €15

    Not that bad at all.

The taste is the best part. The nose and the finish are flat. I was initially prepared to go up to 81, but the more it breathed, the less it had those qualities I'd initially liked in it.

    Tasted blind.
    • Nose
A quiet nose. Faintly pine-y, faintly fruity. Like a more boring Glenfiddich 12. With time there's some potato peels and yeast. In fact time in glass doesn't seem to do favours to the nose.
    • Taste
Faintly fruity, with a surprisingly robust taste, but a flattish body. Could be some inoffensive, cheap Speyside blend.
    • Finish
      Sweet, with some ripe pears.

Maybe OK for mixing with coke. But there are cheaper variants.
    • Nose
At first I only drink alcohol. With goodwill eventually some light wood notes. Then sweetness.
    • Taste
On the tongue and on the palate "tingling", again very dominant alcohol perception.
No special flavors, painstakingly tasting some oak (10th filling?).
    • Finish
      Way is gone.
The finish is like the taste - disappointing, but fortunately quickly gone.

Call me crazy, but I think this is a nice whisky. Of course you can not compare him to a Scottish 25-year-old, but compared to the cheaper 10-year-old single malts from Scotland he does not do bad at all.
And the price! Come on, that price - quality ratio is just ridiculous.

In short: a good whisky to start the evening with. Nice in the warmer time of the year.

Every year, when my parents go to Spain, I let them bring a bottle.

    Notes from a blind tasting.

Quite drinkable, much better than the rating suggests here. With time, the nose is even really good.
    • Nose
Tons of hay, slightly alcoholic, reminiscent of Knob Creek, a little vanilla and malt, very tender, later pear and biscuit, apple pie with yeast dough. Warms fruit muesli bars from the health food store, fermented notes. Needs a lot of time!
    • Taste
Herbs, honey, a little eucalyptus, thin.
    • Finish
Short to medium long, honey sweet, no or very little oak, disappears completely.

Not too bad, but not comparable with single malt scotch.
