- Nose: hot baked cake, sweet bread, peanut butter, sweet, honey like, vanilla, fruits, butter on toast
Taste: fruity, tropical fruits, oranges, butter, sour
Finish: Medium-long, sour, yeasty, oak, fruity, fruit candy, black pepper, chilli
Excellent value for money. It gets better and better as the bottle gets more air
fruits, medicinal, caramel
- The quality is good and despite the presumably young age well integrated alcohol strength. Overall, it is too one-dimensional to me
directly neat peppery freshness, behind it very floral with fabric softener, after a while classic vanilla and coconut flavors come through
rather easy, then followed by a decent peppery onset of the later I converted wood flavors
the finish is medium long and quite unspectacular except for a bittersweet note
N: Bourbon fruits and chalk, and as Serge says “Whenever chalk arrives, that’s great news” [WB]. The complexity lies with those fruits.
T: A bit sharp at first but the bourbon fruit sweetness soon emerges and is in no rush to leave.
F: True to form, finishing with those bourbon chalky fruits.
C: This is a 7yo and far better for it compared to earlier & younger PJ presentations in my opinion. Matured in SW India in air conditioned warehouses, so the climate is less of an issue.Scores a C+
- N- Rounded and full, waves of floral and sweet apricot, whiff of mineral and match stick.
P- Dry and nutty, creamy biscuity lingers with tropical fruits. Much rounded and smoothened the edges on the Brilliance.
F- Spicy building up and go on and on, lasted with delicious honey and rum-coffee.
