it's perfectly alright. But it didn't convince me like the miniature of the 18 year old. But can be due to the bottling. this one is extremely sherry-heavy, which seems partly put on. other flavors are too much in the background.
Wonderful whisky, very pleasant and well balanced with a beautiful touch of smoke (you need time to recognize it). Easy gong on its full strengths. Not very complex though but great in every sip. Quite hard to find nowadays and prices seem to be going up.
Sherry, dried fruits, chocolate, barley notes, baked apples, cinnamon, orange zest, maple syrup, almost insensible smoky notes, water opens overripe fruity notes - apples and pears
For 21 years, not a particularly complex, but balanced and pleasant sherry whisky, for me, however, the 12-year old same distillery offers little added value.
Clear sherry (very spicy to nutty, sweetness quite dark and set, raisins, dates, dark fruit compote with very light vanilla), notes of hay and cereals as well as cinnamon sugar. Somehow the sweetness reminds in places of sticky and artificial solvent notes of many bourbon whiskys.
Pleasant sherry, clear oak, but always relatively balanced. Alcohol well integrated. Warming, slightly sweet.
Top! The price increase of recent years is - with a laughing and a crying eye - understandable. Who has the opportunity: Access!
a lot of sherry, then sometime oak, sweet with different dried fruits - such as dried dates, then spreads an excellent spice together with orange zest, freshly baked bread with nutmeg, ripe oranges with cloves and cinnamon, strong caramel, some resinous cedar, a lot of vanilla, Plum compote, raisins, blackberries, liqueur blackcurrants, remains of peat smoke, cherry blossoms, slightly nutty, removes sulfur notes, very complex and interwoven
very old and full-bodied sherry, slightly spicy, very sweet, then pushes the spice vigorously, behind hides oak, caramel, dried dates, prunes, raisin syrup, pickled cherries, a lot of cinnamon, light acidity and bitterness of espresso and chocolate, a little walnut shell , Vanilla, minimal smoke, the alcohol is wonderfully integrated
warm, oak, a lot of dark sherry, some spiciness and malt, many dried fruits, caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg, later a hint of pepper, apple schnapps, salty, semi-dry and long
