    • Nose
Comprehensive, initially closed, gradually opening up. Light smoke and peat, plum wine, ascorbic acid, match heads, creamy caramel, hint - light industrial motifs (engine oil, grinding stone), sapling, sour green apple, menthol, vanilla. 22
    • Taste
Medium, moderately sweet. Somewhat watery. Black pepper, light smoke and peat, salted caramel, red apple, creamy toffee, sweet fruit. 21
    • Finish
From medium to long, warming, initially dominated by smoky-peat motifs, which are then replaced by oak tannins. 22
An interesting "industrial" whiskey, in a blind tasting, would have decided that it was either Ben Nevis or something from Campbelltown. Although the taste is, of course, slightly thin. Balance 22

The nose is smooth, sweet with light peated smoke, caramel, sweet and dried fruits, light fruit rottenness, cream and muffins notes. The palate is sweet, smooth with light peated smoke, dried fruits and oak notes. The finish is long, dry and peaty with vanilla and spices notes. Blue Label is a sweet, smooth and tasty whisky. I gave 84 points.

Ok, here are the ghosts. Of all the bottles from this house, I have personally shot at the 15er. He fits me in completely. But at the Blue Label the PLV is too distorted for me. Why so much money for an ordinary blend? My tip remains the No.15!

The nose is in the standard range for a luxury whiskey. Tobacco notes with powdered sugar and tropical fruits. Something mineral reminds of forest and trees. Nose is ok to good.
    • Taste
      88 88
More pears like apples and minerally peppery at the same time. Very soft and lush, it spreads an almond in honey feeling. Already on a higher level but nothing special happens for this price. Too bad.
    • Finish
      86 86
Medium to long, it combines flowery floral notes in the sweet finale. He turns everything increasingly into a spicy, light pepper note. That was it then. Standard just.
      Conclusion: not fish, not meat.

  9. Georges scored this whisky 81 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Sweet, fresh, perfumy, some peat smoke, soft, mint
    • Taste
Oily, creamy, sweet, spicy, peat smoke, caramel, toffee
    • Finish
      Long, spicy, smoky

  10. Rosebank88 scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
Complex, noble and mature. Begins with a surprisingly brusque minerality, full rust flavors, cocoa, subtle peat smoke and a nice waxy heaviness. Gradually oily notes, salt, flowery hay, some dried fruit and light sherry tones follow.
    • Taste
Oily, beautifully waxy, roasted nuts, light peat smoke, again mineral notes, salt, oak, citrus zests, jute sacks filled with cider apples, old metal goods and rusty-earthy garden tools.
    • Finish
Long and oily with gentle peat smoke and nuts.
