  1. Angelos scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

You really need to like even love whisky, which has been matured in european oak for such a long time! Otherwise this won't offer any pleasure to you!
    • Nose
Sweet and bitter, grapefruit, oranges, some burnt caramel and vanilla pods, dark chocolate, raisins, hints of cinnamon and coriander after some time... this one needs water and time to breathe
    • Taste
Sweet and bitter together, bitter lemon, dark chocolate, intense grapefruit and blackberries, rum-style, caramel, tannins from the european oak definitley, coffee even espresso, maybe some mokka
    • Finish
Long and bitter with really intense european oak, some cocoa beans and some dark fruits

  5. mds51 scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Sherry. Sweet and fruity. Raisins, juicy oranges, blood orange, some bitter herbals, dark chocolate, some wood, rum raisins, red apples, pickled cherries, ripe strawberries. The alcohol is present, but not too intrusive or disturbing.
    • Taste
Strong, the alcohol shows its power. Malty, some oak, sweetness, bitterness (grapefruit), herbal notes (thyme, marjoram), dark chocolate (cocoa content 70% +), coffee, herbal tea, rum cherries.
    • Finish
Long and strong. Bitterness and spiciness of the European oak. In the background and in the cheek, the sweetness is still present.

Nice expression, sherry is noticable, fine nose, palate on alcohol (better with some drops of water), finish long but also slight on alcohol.
