Whisky Reviews for Bowmore 2002 AdF

A Bowmore on the right track, but still a bit too youthful.
    • Nose
Only fruity on the nose with a clear alcoholic note. The smoke is still restrained. With a little warmth a nutty note is enhanced and the smoke becomes more present. The alcoholic tickle remains very dominant. Even with a little water, the alcohol does not really go back. A bit more fruity. Then after a few minutes the alcohol retreats more clearly.
    • Taste
In the mouth it burns clearly on the tongue. Then maritime salt, seaweed. An anise note occurs and remains until the finish. Then the bright, young smoke. No oak is detectable. With water then softer, rounder.
    • Finish
In the finish remains a little salt, which disappears quickly, then something metallic and then only a little smoke. Rather short. With more sips, there's still a bit of green oak behind the smoke.
