A good smoky Brookladi, a soft, deep aroma after which you expect an equally mellow sweet-wine taste on a smoke-peat background, but no - the base here wins dry, sherry only shades and supplements; At the finish, both began to get tired, but here the basis lies ahead. In general, it is interesting and quite at the level, the budgetary fortress is quite enough, the pitches are good.
    • Nose
Open, weak smoke and soft peat in the style of Isle of Jura, wine tones, dried fruits - raisins, prunes, dried apricots; light salinity, processed leather, smoked wood, a bit of cold smoked fish, smoked caviar.
    • Taste
More rigid, smoky-peat, oak bitterness, coal, wine tones, black pepper, raisins, burned biscuits.
    • Finish
Sour-sweet with a gradual withdrawal of sweets, oak bitterness, pickled ginger, unsweetened dried apricots and prunes, dark beer, leavard, sour kvass.

Nose: Big sherry going on here, that’s for sure: marmalade sweetness, with quite a bit of wine effect, Meaty sherry, with sulphur galore (I like that profile, but some of you won’t). Seaweed, and salt too, and a wisp of smoke and a hint of cured meat mainly Prosciutto.

Palate: Starts quite peppery and hot, with the wine tannins kicking in later, some red fruit marmalade, but certainly not as sweet as the nose, more dry sherry notes there. A hint of smoke, and leather as well as sulphur and spent matches, sea salt. thick and chewy.

Finish: dry and lots of wine tannins, with some peat smoke and spices.

    Bottom line:

This is indeed a very interesting little Laddie with a big sherry effect, meaty and sulphury. If you’re like myself, a fan of some sulphur to make things more interesting, than you’re going to love it, If you’re sensitive to that – better not rush and buy a bottle (more for me). It’s quite tricky finding a bottle of this in the UK, as most of the MaltMan’s bottles are sold in the EU for some reason, but if you look well I am sure you can locate one online.

    Color: amber with salmon sting
Nose: different for a Laddie, as quite smoky and fleshy. Soon afterwards ripe strawberries and red apples, very special, cool.
Taste: fairly smoky onion followed by tart fruit, such as a strong liqueur, kirsch, licorice, the smoke sticks.
    Finish: medium long, smoky, fruity.
Comment: something completely different, so have not had, definitely worth an experience!

huge nose, very meaty, backlabel says parma, I smell thick salami...hmmm loving it, label ends with "this one will blow your socks off!", indeed, get one

Very nice Laddie. The typical distillery-profile in nose and taste is still present.
    • Nose
Not a very 'thick' sherry-nose. Vanilla, raisins and nuts. Citrus and honey. And some light smoke.
    • Taste
More of the same: vanilla, raisins and nuts. Citrus and honey. Vague hints of smoke.
    • Finish
      Long and pleasant.
