A great and varied malt which knows how to convince with its powerful yet mild style. The creamy mouthfeel is impressive, as well as the interplay of flavors. Sweetness and fruit play with toasted aromas and spicy wood tones, harsh hints and subtle sharpness provide variety. A great malt with character, I like it!
    • Nose
Long and oily "legs" stick to the glass wall of my Premium Snifter, the high alcohol content tickles your nose immediately. After the alcohol draws back a little, intense and sweet fruit flavors rise. Burnt sugar and a fine citrus note dissolve out of the raisins in rum, creamy apricots and sweet caramel flatter the nose. Velvety peach flashes, for a brief moment sulfur is in the air. Sweet milk chocolate with hazelnut shards turns into dark, dark chocolate, a few drops of espresso dribble on spicy oak slices. Partly the nose is slightly sprittig despite fruity sweetness, which is more of a mixture of alcohol, burnt sugar and spicy oak. The nose is now full throttle ... A dominant alcoholic alternates with roasted aromas and caramelized sugar, apricots and peaches play with hazelnuts and spicy wood tones, chocolate combines with caramel and toffee .... the beautiful interplay never ends.
    • Taste
Powerful and sweet, the piglet flows over the tongue. Chocolate and burned caramel melt on the tongue, dark and creamy raisins unite with old apricots, slowly from the throat a wooden sharpness creeps over the tongue, white and black pepper explode on the tongue and heat the taste buds neatly. Dark hazelnuts blend with creamy and tart wood tones, orange peel rubs citrus fruit, and a hint of grapefruit mixes with the spicy blend of hazelnuts and oak. Creamy and oily, the sweet and tart aromas on the palate linger for a long time, tougher forest honey and slightly burnt caramel end in a creamy walnut aroma.
    • Finish
Creamy and oily, the varied flavors rest on the tongue. The chubby heat on the palate fades out slowly, espresso flows over whole milk chocolate with Nusssplittern. From milk chocolate becomes bittersweet chocolate, from creamy and soft becomes tart and subtly spicy, again roast and nut flavors come to light. Caramel and toffee are whitewashed by spicy wood tones, the tart and sometimes sharp flavors play with the sweet and fruity notes.

The smell is wonderfully complex, unfortunately the alcohol disturbs a little bit.
In the mouth, the alcohol no longer bothers, but ensures neat heat.
The finish is enjoyment in oak.

The wood influence dominates, the sherry steps clearly into the background. A good but not a very good Glenfarclas.
    • Nose
The smell reminds me of a forest, pine needles, leaves, earth, slightly sour orange, a hint of woodruff, freshly cut wood, caramel, slightly nutty, some chocolate, the alcohol tickles a bit in the nose
    • Taste
A wonderfully soft, creamy body is on the tongue, the onset is strong, followed by notes of espresso, chocolate, dark, bittersweet bread dough, then orange peel, delicate astringent, clear oak notes, pepper, lightly baked sugar, Gran style
    • Finish
Strong, no longer delicate oak bitterness, bitter beer, abrasion of orange peel, burned sugar, bread crust

Very fruity, sweet. Refresh Sherry, so not so hard. Beautiful oak notes. With water (that he needs) a pretty easy drinking dram.
