    Wow. Is that JimBim?
There is great aged bourbon here! The 53.5% is absolutely great!
    • Nose
Very sweet honey. Caramel. Vanilla. citrus. Slightly nutty. milk chocolate. A strong spiciness floats in the background.
    • Taste
Dry and peppery at the start. Pushes powerfully forward. Hazelnut. Vanilla. Honey. Oak. Sweet caramel sticks all over the mouth. Great spice.
    • Finish
Long. warming. Sweet caramel and nut again.
The taste of corn lingers in the mouth.

Strong acidity, cherry, relatively high drinking, if you bought it in the old days, it is drinkable.

Baker's 107 is one of Jim Beam's Small Batch Bourbons. For the series, high quality barrels are selected from the best places in the warehouses.
    • Nose
      86 86
Very fruity, strong vanilla with caramel and the typical fresh oak.
    • Taste
      86 86
Very cute! A strong start, vanilla and caramel dominate, but also with notes of dark fruits and chocolate. Soft and harmonious, oily on the tongue.
    • Finish
      87 87
Long, intense finish, dry. the vanilla and caramel taste linger for a long time.

  11. DistiLesha scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

It differs little in its taste and aroma profile from the total mass of bourbons. It just feels more confident in quality and intensity, but this is clearly associated with increased strength.
Anyway, a very enjoyable drinking bourbon with a great and interesting profile, the current average is a little understated in my opinion.
    N: 22 T: 21 F: 22 B: 20
    • Nose
Peanuts, caramel, ripe juicy corn, bourbon, bread crumb, a little varnish, wet cardboard, hot pepper, apricot, a little vanilla
    • Taste
Sweetness 9 out of 10, bourbon, corn, butter caramel, lacquer-acetone notes of bourbons, wet cardboard, hot spices, vanilla, tannin quince astringency.
On the second sip, orange peel is added.
    • Finish
      Dry, woody, damp wood.
Then it develops to acidity and licorice.
      Interestingly, absolutely no bitterness.

    RATING: 84pts – |83 – 86 (B) → Good| — Not a “must”, but a nice-to-have.
    • Nose
      84 84
The nose is quite expected with a profile of caramelized popcorn, boiled corn and ripe plum's pulp.
    • Taste
      83 83
The taste is oily and dense with hints of salted caramel, dried fruits compote, tannic wood and chocolate.
    • Finish
      84 84
The finish is medium lenght and quite dry with domination of caramel and cocoa powder notes followed by popcorn.

  14. Don Cassi scored this whisky 77 points Expert Senior

From the aroma to the finish, leather, caramel and orange predominate, with spicy notes and oak in the finish. The increased alcohol content literally burns the aromas into the palate. The finish could still be a little longer.

    Grade: 2

  15. VISION_CHEN scored this whisky 57 points Expert Junior

Nose: Brand new furniture, paint, brown sugar cake, candles, toffee, how long is this? The smell of alcohol and the irritating smell are both suffocating, and the nose wants to hide away. There are more nuts and wood in the latter part, but at the same time, the overall aroma will quickly fall down and become lifeless.

Drink: The wine is thick and full, but spicy, salty, bitter, and various sensations clearly occupy the taste buds. It is difficult to have the mood to dig into the ground to find other flavors in it.

Overall: I think this wine is really lacking in vitality, or organic. This description refers more to the overall aroma.

Hard to point down the batch I had but Baker's was very nice back then, suffered a bit in recent times I heard but can also confirm, though also only with one batch I had. Good abv. not cask strength but reduced. Wouldn't spend a leg or arm on it but for roughly 50 EUR it was fine.

Great nose, taste - a little too oaky for me
    • Nose
      88 88
Vanilla popcorn, burnt white sugar, some hint of tropical fruits or raisins, and some oaky notes
    • Taste
      85 85
Upfront oakiness, after that caramel, popcorn hints
    • Finish
      85 85
      Medium, dry, corn-caramel aftertaste

Huge vanilla, caramel hit on the nose. SWEET. The palette is a bit disappointing. Huge sweetness that overpowers what little rye was included. It's good but not very good.

  21. Lu Cifer scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

    Aroma:
Sweet, caramel and vanilla, canned fruits in syrup, oak. (slightly musty)
a little owl, only at the first tasting

    Taste:
fiery, sparkling onset, spicy, oak, slightly stuns the palate.

    finish:
slightly spicy, oak, sweetish and warming finish

With a little water, soft, sugar sweet, slightly spicy, finally softly fading ...

  22. StyrianSpirit scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

A true and typical bourbon. If you like that, that's pretty good. For me, this gives an 87-point pleasure.
    • Nose
      88 88
Ok, unmistakably a bourbon. Some caramel, popcorn, Grain flavors. Fresh, but not heated. Oak discreetly, with time grainy-malty.
    • Taste
      87 87
In the taste more intense grainy notes, Ppcornsweet, slightly stronger oak, spice. Intense, not overheated on the palate, pleasant.
    • Finish
      87 87
In the medium-length finale, the "grainy maltiness" (I just can not think of a better term) becomes stronger again, the popcorn sweetness remains before the oak is added.

  23. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 60 points Connoisseur

Blindtasting. Unfortunately, I was not convinced.
    • Nose
... that's nail polish remover, right? Behind the real alcohol aroma one can recognize with good will some vanilla and oak. More is not there with me. With water, the nose becomes more complex, vanilla oak and a little kräutrige flavors are more effective.
    • Taste
very strong and alcoholic, but also a clear sweetness and some oak. With water he is also in the mouth he is sweeter, even if the alcohol still bothers little.
    • Finish
Oak, herb, something sweet, deaf mouth ...

A great, not boring Bourbon that is (still) cheap and fun.
    • Nose
Quite a lot of vanilla and creme brûlée, with a hint of fresh oak and some spicy herbs, but only very light. Over time, our Creme Brûlée gets a burnt caramel crust.
    • Taste
Despite the strong onset due to the higher alcohol strength, the whiskey remains soft and supple, almost creamy. Mouth-filling, caramel spice, some sweetness, becoming drier towards the end.
    • Finish
Medium to long, now take on dryness and spiciness. Delicately bitter woody notes, burnt caramel and some tart herbs now dominate.

    Balance sheet (21) Good bourbon ... (85)
    • Nose

    • Taste
The taste is sweet, spicy, woody-liqueur ... (21)
    • Finish
      Finish menthol ... lemon ... varnish ... slightly viscous .. (22)

Baker’s Bourbon was named after Baker Beam who was the day-shift distiller at the main Jim Beam plant at Clermont, Kentucky, until he retired in 1992. That’s the distillery his father, grandfather, and other Beam family members built after Prohibition at the site of a gravel pit the family operated during the drought.

Baker’s Bourbon was created as part of Beam’s Small Batch Bourbon Collection. Although 3 of the 4 whiskeys in the collection, including Baker’s, are based on the same Jim Beam mash bill, each has slightly different specifications and a different taste profile.

Great bourbon, round and mild. No glue mark, so if you want to avoid bourbon, try this one. PLV also very good.
    • Nose
Very mild, vanilla totally present. Caramel and also quite spicy.
    • Taste
Balanced, intensely supported by alcohol, but by no means alcoholic. Vanilla note remains present as in the nose, with some chocolate and a light caramel note.
    • Finish
Short and warm, barely alcoholic. In the finish fruity notes, a little apple.

  30. wbarchive_149037 scored this whisky 81 points Expert Senior

The nose was rather engaging, but for me the mouth peaches by an excess of young oak and a lack of finesse. But it's still an honest bourbon, just not my favorite.
    • Nose
Vanilla, maple syrup, oak, coconut in the background. Classic of a good bourbon, without being overly woody. Smoked and caramelized coal which is not without evoking Jack Daniel's ... Good power, well mastered.
    • Taste
Suddenly, it's downright simpler and less fun than the nose, once is not customary ... I always found that bourbons were much nicer in the mouth than nose, here is an exception ... A bit sweet, very woody, caramelized ... But it's not too bad to drink even without adding water.
    • Finish
      Medium, slightly acidic / bitter.

    Delicious bourbon. 81st
    • Nose
Vanilla, caramel, glue, orange, typical bourbon. Not too intense and intrusive.
    • Taste
Full and intense, but not too much. Caramel and sweetness dominate here.

      Long, warm.

A good and strong bourbon. The whiskey has an intense barrel taste, thumbs up!
    • Nose
Syrup, cacao powder, artificial vanilla, toasted caramel. Very sweet (more than sugar, sweetener?). Corn and wild herbs.
    • Taste
Intense. Dark chocolate beans, coffee. Bitter, but tasty. Gently sweet raisins and vanilla again. Some acid. A chemical flavor, hints of glue or organic solvents somehow.
    • Finish
Quite intense and long for a bourbon and quite bitter as well. An oaky finish with fine dark chocolate. Roasted hazelnuts.

  35. moviemaniac scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

Oh boy, this is an intense wee rascal! Full-on, dry, spicy with a balance of light dried fruits (mostly raisins), bitter chocolate and nuts. Not the most complex bourbon nor the longest aged, but I find this a nice, warming and intense experience, perfect for colder, wet and windy autumn evenings. Price is pretty decent too, I purchased this for around 45€ in 2014, which makes it a daily dram bourbon in my book. Miles and leagues better than the standard Jim Beam white label it shares the mashbill with, but it’s matured for much longer

If that's a bourbon, it's a good one. Tasty tasty-sweet, mild, for me no too intrusive adhesive note. After the dissolution, the high percentages surprised me a lot. Had something between 45 and 50% expected
    • Nose
Blind: very pleasant bourbon note, vanilla and a lot of caramel, lighter fruits (grapes), a fruity sweetness reminiscent of sherry, subtle oak, fruity wood, very green banana, some figs, no prominent alcohol note but one quite pleasant glue note
    • Taste
Blind: sweet, little oak, bright sweet undefinable fruit, again typical bourbon notes, almost liqueur-like mild, for me only a light alcohol sting
    • Finish
Blind: warming, sweet again, covering the tongue a bit, vanilla, nuttiness

Not overly impressive although perfectly drinkable bourbon.
    • Nose
Chemical with nail polish remover, acetone, tons of oak, cardboard, charcoal and hints of fudge and black tea essence.
    • Taste
Quite sweet with notes of chocolate, caramel, oak wood.
    • Finish
      Medium-long, mouthwarming, sweet and one-dimensional.

    • Nose
Intense caramel and vanilla, oranges, on bad days unpleasant adhesive note, outstanding on good days
    • Taste

    • Finish
Tingling, sweet and warming, medium to long

  40. ThS scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

Very nice nose, but a little nasty and monolithic in the mouth.
    • Nose
Powerful, compact and dense. Mango chutney with spices. Cinnamon, coconut, vanilla, but all is elegantly composed. Floral accents, jams, dance over this juicy woody and taking.
    • Taste
Mouth dense and sappy, dominated by a rich and spicy woody. Lying, drying up quickly, rising in power.
    • Finish
Quite short, with the classic accents of butter and condensed milk.

  41. WhiskyLovingPianist did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

N: Nothing unexpected here, mainly displaying medicinal fruits, [blackcurrants and elderberries] along with caramel. One particular note - Carbon granules found in Brita water filters.
T: Fizzy fruits - very fresh and rubbery.  Very woody overall, bitter wood sugars, fresh and grainy, very much new green wood on display and a note of running water from a fresh stream.
F: Fresh fennel coated in cocoa and caramel with a long finish
C: Vibrant, fresh and sweet, simple and balanced with the odd particular note to give this bourbon more interest that most

    Scores a B

Had the chance to try this today, fantastic! Went to let the owner of

this liquor store try the Balvenie tun 1401 #3 and he pulled this out.

He said it was given him to try from a friend from Scotland. I Liked it

and haven`t tried any of these before, well done!
