[December, 2015]  I opened this bottle quite a while ago and - as I was not really impressed - left it in a dark corner untouched since then. So I give it another try today.  I bought this bottle for 54 Euro in March, 2014.The nose is on strong vanilla and sugars (creme brulee-like), very similar to the more recent Berry Bros bottlings. Quite nice, but not overly complex. The mouthfeel is intense at arrival with lots of peppers, vanilla and other spices.  Unfortunately, this delicious start passes away very quickly and than leaves ... almost nothing. The finish is simply non-existent, so I call this a "whisky quickie". Never had this before...

By the way, water does not really improve the situation. The whisky gets rather flat and a little bit woody/dry.  So I will have a dram when I am in a hurry only ;-)

Not one of the Glen Gariochs that you would like to have in your glass again soon after tasting it. To me avery average highland malt without a special charm.
