    Conclusion and pictures on: https://tomtrinkt.de
    • Nose
Very intense aromas rise from my glass. The high alcohol content of over 55% develops a slightly cooling freshness in the first few minutes. Exotic fruits, mango, passion fruit, oranges, subtle citrus fruits, honey, plenty of vanilla and caramel sweets are dominant. The fruity-vanilla conglomerate is enveloped by clearly perceptible nut aromas, which I have not yet found in intensity in a whisky.
    • Taste
Incredibly full, creamy and cuddly on the palate. After about 15 - 20 seconds noticeably astringent. A pleasant Pfeffrigkeit at the tip of the tongue is noticeable, before the mouth is flooded with exotic fruits. The alcohol is very well integrated for my taste, you can dilute, but you do not have to. Mango, passion fruit, pineapple and juicy oranges set a summery fruity exclamation point. Vanilla, caramel, nuts, citrus fruits and woody notes complete the multi-layered taste profile. Already slightly drier, with a pleasant oak flavor.
    • Finish
Medium to long. Warming, with a harmonious oak, some pepper and gradually fading exotic fruits and orange peel. A final touch of vanilla with a good dose of nuts, dark chocolate, some leather and hints of coffee complete the great finish, which gradually gets a little drier. A slight bitterness arises.

distinctly different from the usual Sherry Glendronachs, but just as delicious !!
    • Nose
Like Madeira in the nose, the barrel can not deny. Oranges, walnuts, lime, tropical fruit cocktail, a little vanilla! The fruit comes back a little with water, but now honey and more nutty
    • Taste
diluted with water, to slightly over 50 vol%: creamy, you do not feel much of the alcohol, beautifully integrated, tropical fruits, grilled pineapple with honey and pepper, caramel, some ginger, dry mouthfeel, oak and coffee
    • Finish
not very long, warming down the throat, with a little coffee, caramel, nuts and orange jam

Very nice malt. I would like to have more than one sample.
    • Nose
Oranges, peaches, maybe strawberries, covered with light vanilla, cinnamon, caramel, a typical and very great Madeira nose, after a long time sniffing I remember Nimm2 sweets
    • Taste
Creamy, the alcohol pushes - but you get used to it quickly, caramel and vanilla come to the fore, the oranges and peaches take over the fruity part, undiluted, the alcohol brings a little liquorice
    • Finish
The sweet creaminess sticks, for the first time the oak spice appears, the finish is not very intense, but quite long

Lovely Glendronach! I simply love Madeira Cask whiskys :-)

This one was affordable and has a nice balance of fruits and nuts! Unfortunately no more available!
    • Nose
Vanilla, walnuts and some lime fruits (oranges most probably)
    • Taste
The nut-component is quite dominant at first but then you have also a fruity palate with mango and oranges. The honey comes after a while but is decent!
    • Finish
The finish shows some pepper notes and also an oaky side which is not perfect but also not too bad.

Crazy atypical Glendronach, but good ...
    • Nose
Vanilla, orange, nuts, exotic cocktail, real Madeira, full toffee & lime
    • Taste
Creamy full, directly what peppery, ginger, to exotic, pineapple, papaya, grapefruit, caramel, honey, vanilla
    • Finish
Medium length, warm spicy, exotic notes & honey with cream remaining

A wonderful smooth and sweet malt that brings a pleasent change from GlenDronach's omnipresent Oloroso and PX maturations. 'Mocca' and 'walnuts' stand out for me as the most dominant impressions. Creamy tropical fruits like sweet apricots, mangos and oranges. Reminds me of the old Glenglassaugh destillations from the early 1970s. A little oakiness and bitter-sweet orange marmelade in the long finish. Very tasty.
