Well married of flavours, very soft, rather floral with abundance of
orchard fruits and sweet malts. Tangeline, with light hint of airy
    burnt honey smokes.

P- Peppery, honey with solid wood flavours. Vanilla, tangeline and sharpened pencils.

F- Short-medium, citrus and pleasant. Bitter lemon with honey.

Nose: Sweet nose, hint of grass, mud and a slow running creek side. Some vanilla, hint of toffee, and there is sure some amount of grain in it. Some corn syrup and a faint touch of glue.
Rather good nose for a mass produced whisky.

Hint of peat, pepper, burned wood, some grass, peat again, ginger, some wood, toffee, wood and a sour note.
This one goes quite some directions. But as I don't like peat, I don't really like it, but I don't hate it either.

Not much as it is a blend

Medium. Peppery, some vanilla and toffee, peat and that's about it.

    Very reasonable for it's quality

A bit of pr on it about how many awards they've won. But the bottle and carton look nice.

A rather good blend. I think it's underrated. I applaud Bacardi for going the opposite way of Diageo. And this one is just a good step up.

I didn't have many positive expectations upon opening this bottle, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The nose in particular has some nice complexity to it, a little multilayeredness, with some interesting bitter vegital beneath the otherwise sweet nose. I recommend giving it a chance with an open mind. Definitely an improvement on the basic level Dewar's.
