    • Nose

Minty sherry, eucalyptus, lemon grass, fresh lemons initially. And then the dark chocolates and dried cherries come into play. After a while more, lots of dark chocolates now with a whiff of smoke.
    • Taste
      91 91
A bit dry initially, but tremendous oomphf. Wonderful stuff. It's like a big wave crashing ever so slowly, evolving bit by bit. Not tremendously complex though, and it's more of a modern type of sherry cask. A salty entry, followed by your typical sherry flavors. To be honest, if blind, I probably would not be able to tell this is Japanese, which means I would never pay the premium. Still, it's a very impressive sherried bottling, quite faultless.
    • Finish
      90 90
Milk chocolate, tannins, black tea. A bit of a drying finish.
