    COLOR: Gold (without dye)

    - compared to the standard 15 years he has more and
    stronger sherry aromas,
    - but also a strong oak component,
    - goes clearly in the direction of dry sherry
    - I found it ok up to 50€, everything above that is clearly too high
    • Nose
      dry sherry, wood, the 46% is already noticeable in the nose, is very present, slightly tingles in the nose
    • Taste
      Fruity, dry attack, voluminous, powerful development in the mouth, lots of oak, dry sherry, grapes, spiciness, astringent
    • Finish
      short strong finish ;
      medium-long dry aftertaste with clear oak

    Find him in direct comparison to the 15-year-old a bit more intense! Good malt in a beautiful tin can!

    [Color] bright gold;
    • Nose
      Fruits (berries, grapes), clearly sherry flavors, malt;
    • Taste
      nice, soft, dry sherry on, fruity (oranges?); Vanilla, seasoning / oak, tasty;
    • Finish
      medium length slightly bitter finish;

    What a nose! Not sherry but fermented and overripe fruits dominate the nose. Unfortunately there is hardly any fruit in the taste and the finish. The spicy wood is very pleasant and compensates for the missing fruit. A decent drop, I like it.
    • Nose
      A touch of overripe fruit with a subtle touch of adhesive comes from the glass. The aroma of overripe fruit mixes with citrus and a touch of sherry. Sweet and a little vanilla battles through the intense fruit aroma. The 46% alcohol are surprisingly dominant and actually suggest a higher alcohol content.
    • Taste
      Delicately spicy wood without much fruit aroma is in the foreground. The strong and voluminous onset is getting spicier and sharper. Now a decent pinch of pepper dominates. Light fruit flavors are still subtly noticeable.
    • Finish
      Spicy and fine bitter or dry, the finish emits a chubby warm mouthfeel. Slight bitterness arises. The finish ends with light sulfur and a bitter walnut note.

    No ordinary GF not as much sherry as expected but succeeded and delicious.
    • Nose
      Sherry is present but light sherry and not dominant. Sweet, fruity..light fermented fruits. Apricots..tropical fruits .. and again sweet. A lot of honey.
    • Taste
      oily, buttery, spicy and slightly spicy, sweet, fruit
    • Finish
      spicy, sweet and a bit bitter..medium long

    This premium selection shows itself in a light shade of brown. The flavor is not dominated Glenfarclas-Typically sherry, although the Sherrynoten are clearly there. But here are also very sweet scents of tropical fruits. There is also the expected slightly bitter note in the background. The onset in the mouth is strong, the whisky fills immediately the whole mouth. Again, sweet fruits are in addition to the sherry notes, even slight citrus notes appear. In the background a restrained bitter component. The aftertaste is dry and clearly sweet.
    A very nice whisky, everything is in harmony, none of the different notes dominates.

    Good Glenfarclas, but a few more years wouldnt be bad on this one! Quite sure the 2000's bottelings will be amazing once they have reached 15+ years

    Oxidation happens quite quick and heavy on this one!
    • Nose
      Beeswax, vanille, caramel, toffee, fudge, teacake, coconut, oak, salmiak, coffee, dried fruits smooth, sherry, cranberries and dates
    • Taste
      Old wood, pepper, Sherry, dried fruits again, honey, waxy, yeasty
    • Finish
      Sherry, wood, waxy, beeswax, dates
