Littlemill 23 yo 1990/2013 (49.8%, Eiling Lim, 68 bottles) Five starsColour: gold. Nose: we’ve got the same(ish) notes of guava juice and citrus, the vanilla as well, but what’s quite remarkable here is that there are also various herbal teas, which adds a layer of aromas. Lemon grass, fennel, maybe a little thyme, dill… There’s also a little banana that comes out after fifteen seconds. Nice complexity, all these Littlemills are usually good but not all of them are this complex in my opinion. Mouth: multi-vitamin juice with white pepper and green apples. Guavas, papayas, grapefruits, plus the obligatory green tea and a good glass of Alsatian (of course) Riesling. Whisky for wine freaks. Finish: quite long, very sharp in a good way. And leaves your palate clean! Comments: pure Littlemillian zestiness – and bliss. SGP:651 - 90 points.

    I started at 88, then 89, 90 and so on… after 4-5 drams of this, you're completely lost…

Maybe not as great as I expected based on some other reviews I've read so far, bit still a very good Littlemill.
    • Nose
Very fruity, lots of oranges and a bit of coconut. There is some wet hay, damp wood and cardboard here as well. Some very light caramel notes and it can be a bit soapy at times. Great complexity.
    • Taste
Zesty? Interesting. It is well-rounded and has an oily and thick mouthfeel. There are some tropical influences with mango being the main flavour, as well as oranges and grapefruit. It has a malty quality.
    • Finish
      Long. Barley, manderin and grapefruit.

Blind tasting of a sample from Yapi. Very recognisable Littlemill.
    • Nose
Blood orange, vanilla cooky, porridge, lime, toffee, apple, grain, almond and a whiff of cactus.
    • Taste
Grapefruit, lemon, grain, orange, peach and caramel.
    • Finish
Lemon, grain cooky, grapefruit, peach, toffee and a little whiff of smoke.
