- For a 12YO of 40%, the nose is simply spectacular, powerful, spicy, horse stable. Apricot. The taste is just a bit thin but then leather, wood, tobacco, vanilla - with an edge of salt and pepper, I don't know exactly how to describe it. I assume that such a bottle cost twenty guilders at the time - I would happily pay thirty euros for it now, certainly with a little more finish. The nose in particular is festive. The aftertaste is short and businesslike. That was it then.
- Pretty nice and tastefull, but also a little thin, it has a little lack of character. Still I enjoyed trying this old bottling.
Fruity, prunes, spicy as well, like cinnamon and curry powder. Slightly some earthy notes, later on more citrus, and then even some licorice.
Soft, smooth, licorice, sweet drop, a bit thin and watery mouthfeel, later on a bit more power/pepper.
Still soft and smooth, a lot of licorice, pretty short. Yet the finish has a little more ehhh body than the body...
- Love these oldies!!
