A good sherry nose. Leather, raisins, quite some dried red fruit and some honey are here. The nose is nice, but not very complex. With water the nose is getting a bit darker. The nose is the best part of this whisky!Taste:
It needs water. But without: sweet and sour, some red fruits and then a clear sherry feel.
With water: Less aggressive, more subtle sweet and sourness. And more red fruits and leather. Body:
Full and round
Without water: a bit aggressive, some sweet and sour, hint of tannins but overall the sherry is there.
With water everything tames down a bit. Price:
Original shop price was €60,- (pre-sale €52,50 and on the festival €55,-). Prices nowadays are insane. Presentation:
Just as it should, all the info is on the label.
