No cracker, but also no bad whisky. Beautiful mouthfeel, complexity and a variety of flavors compensate for imbalance, lack of balance and lack of maturity.
I think the whisky is very fruity at first. In addition to apple and pear, I also find banana and vanilla. The sherry influence is barely noticeable with light grapes and butter.
The mouthfeel is pleasantly oily. For the first time, some smoke is visible. The taste is very different from the nose, with lots of oak, black tea and mint.
The finish is medium with sweet maple syrup, a slight sharpness, fruit sweetness and now also a lot of salt.
