Good and pleasant whisky, something to warm you up during cold winter nights.
A little alcoholic and rather closed due to the high alcohol content. Some peat is coming through, as well as citrus notes (lemon) - a typical Islay combination. There is also a little vanilla and apple cake. Nothing unpleasant at all.
Warming but less powerful than expected. Mild peat, strong black tea, vanilla oak and a spicy peppery component.
Long and warming from deep inside like hot air from a peat fire with a dry, oaky and peppery end.
