Whisky Reviews for Koval White Whiskey - Rye
4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 54.00 points
- a very "corny" and oily whiskey, easy to drink but not uncomplicated
floral, oil, dirt, dirty rock salt, really fresh spirit, herbs and more salt
light, really oily, corn oil, floral, very light neutral grain sweetness
short, still oily, herbs, corn/rye mix, light sweetness at the back with long mouth coating oiliness
- I tasted quite a few new make spirits over the years and this seems characterless and very dull. it’s quite nippy and aggressive on the palate. Well if this is “the true essence of rye without being overshadowed by oak” than rye is never going to please my tastebuds. Again not my cup of tea..
all in all, well yeah, what to say? characterless to be honest.
A fresh, sweet and floral spirit with aromas of alcohol, fusel oil, icing sugar, mint, hint of flowers and hay.
A sweet, nippy and dull spirit with aromas of alcohol, icing sugar, mint, fusel oil, pepper, hint of spices and chili.
A short and sweet finish with aromas of icing sugar, mint and pepper.
- This is aquavit, not rye whiskey. Very very hard to drink.
