Whisky Reviews for Connemara Peated Single Malt
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 76.25 points
- amber in color, liquid in the glass, quick thin tears, not much experience with this peated irish whiskey
clearly a soft peat, sweet peat, slightly spicy oranges, after a while the peat is gone?
fleeting, with a slightly creamy touch, light smoke, I expected stronger, wood bitter
medium strong soft on the lips, sweet, moderately long
- As a part of the Cooley Collection with IWSC 2008 - 2009 awards on the package.
N: light peatsmoke, floral notes
P: soft, smokey flavors, lapsang souchong
F: warming, vanilla, smokey
C: Quite allright
- Not very complex, but passable smoke. Unfortunately the youth is clearly noticeable. If you like smoke and just have the opportunity ...
medium-strong smoke, including vanilla and lots of lime, yellow fruits, a little caramel, salty hints, powdered sugar, minimal spice
full-bodied, dominant smoke, again light citrus tones, some syrup sweetness, bitterness from the oak barrel
long, strong, slightly aromatic smoke, some citrus, creamy caramel, bitterness and oak
