Balanced on the nose, fresh fruits and slightly raisins, like a fruit salad with raisin in it. Also slightly biscuity, vanilla crackers, sweet honey and butter scotch, normally associated with bourbon casks, but this is sherry. Could be american oak though, thus some bourbon cask characteristics.
Great balance on the palate as well, thick oily texture, baked banana, custard and oak on the arrival. It gets more perfumed in the development (allspice kind of perfume), white sugar, breakfast cereal and mixed spices.
the finish is medium in length, spicy and warm with honey, nutmeg and pepper. Both fresh fruits and raisins hanging in there as well.
