- Incredibly nice blend, seems at least a couple of years older that its stated age. Good-quality casks, very good value for money. I'd prefer this over, say, Johnnie Walker Black, or the Dewar's 18-year-old any day.
- Needs quite some time in the glass to open up. And needs a little bit of water. Interestingly complex. Good blend.
w/o water: sharp. Sweet vanilla. Sour. Cherries. wood. Red fruit. Banana.
w/ water: Much drier. Dry wood. Clove. Red fruit. White pepper.
w/o water: sweet licorice arrival. Sharp development to licorice confectionery . Salt and citrus dry.
w/ water: Sweet arrival. Sweet and sour. Development is dry and citrus-y. Sharpness at the tip of the tongue.
Dry citrus and salty licorice confectionery. medium-long.
