Whisky Reviews for Arran 2001 MoS

- Totally inexpressive nose, some caramel and dried fruit. Bitter and caramelized mouth, mixture of greenery and Sherry. Final short and bitter. It's an Arran.
- Not very excited about this arran which I expected much more. The sherry accord and fruity notes of arran did not work
Good sherry, dried fruits, dark chocolate; then behind arran: green apples, pear alcohol. The set is not very harmonious, the alcohol is moderately integrated
strange, a little leather, some dried fruit and apple alcohol. Again, not very balanced
Old barrel, balsamic vinegar, dried fruits and green apple
- flow clear amber, expressive nose, on toffee, vanilla, milk chocolate, nougatine, raisins, dates. Mouth quite sweet, easy, in a style neither very dry nor very sweet, caramel, dried fruit, orange, honey. Average length. A style very different from bourbon Arran. During a second tasting it seemed less sherry and especially sherry and fruit seemed dissociated, a hint of alcohol too.
- The volume of the alcohol makes it a very smooth player. Seductive and easy drinkable.
Sharp red fruit, cherry, becomes more round and turns into oranges. Leather. Caramel and fudge
Sweet grains, syrup and milk chocolate. Also the oranges from the nose only this time covered with chocolate
Sweet and smooth
