Richard Paterson sure does know how to blend a whisky. Sure this is a young, inexpensive blend but it has such a great balance which is such an important attribute. I drank a lot of this bottle ice fishing when it was quite cold outside - went down nice! I read this one has Invergordon grain, 3 Speyside malts, 1 highland malt, 1 Islay malt. I think it's a great value! Drinks older that 5yo. I'll buy it again.
Airy and fresh with fresh cut coconut and tropical fruits, cereal, grass.
High-toned flavors. Marshmallow, herbs with a dry green grass. Good richness and weight though - heavier on the palate.
Some smoke, malt, grain, grassy, dry.
