  1. WhiskyLovingPianist scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

N: Malty with leather & raisins, subtle oily farm notes, wax coats, heathery-hay and shortbread.
T: A soft-sharp yet instantly delicious arrival. There’s a suspension,……… before it releases into the finish, joined by some smoked-malty notes. This is really good.
F: The deliciousness continues to flood into a good length finish on clean, dryish sherry.
C: Lovely Inchgower, lovely whisky. The sherry which isn’t heavy has much to say, but the distillate is never lost. A great buy Heidi, stupidly low priced, all good for us.

Bargin @ van Wees Holland. Beautifull legs by the way!
    • Nose
Forest fruits, citrus, almond paste and brown spices cookies - speculaas. Strawberries (yes, again the Inchgower signature for me), creamy fruits, some liquorice, mint, also sulpher, cooked peas, some raisins and creamy - advocaat. Chocolate, iron and apple sauce.
    • Taste
Some pepper, chocolate, floral tones and some grape fruits. Again liquorice, some sulpher and later fruits and syrup. Cooking pears, potpourri, tea, spices like a Indian curry and some cotton candy.
    • Finish
Medium drying with fruits - pear, exotic fruits, vanilla and white pepper.

Overall very complex, sweet and a raw edge with the sulpher.

    Inchgower 1998 - 2013, approx. 15 years, 46% alc., Refill Sherry Butt
Bottler: Gordon & MacPhail - Connoisserus Choice Series
    (Speyside, Scotland)

Inchgower is the main ingredient in "Bell's Blend", single malt is mostly found by independent bottlers like Gordon & MacPhail. The most famous bottling is probably the 14-year-old from the series "Flora & Fauna". ...

Nose: Sherry, immediately but not intrusive. Sultanas and apples. Then there are dark green limes. Unfortunately, he is not much deeper.

Palate: Spicy and sweet, but without the expected fruit. The oak is already quite noticeable. At the end chocolate and cappuccino.

Finish: Surprising. Only gently, then swells and says goodbye with spicy oak notes.

Conclusion: Many nuances, so I can not quite judge him yet. The nose is somewhat flat, palate and finish know to surprise. If you did not have Inchgower in your glass, you should take a look at this bottling.
