    • Finish
F: liquirizia e torba acre, con afflati vegetal-limonosi. Piuttosto lungo e persistente.

    It's just very good.
    • Nose
Zan, ozone, wet wool, sweet spices, butter, wet rocks, smoke on all that.
    • Taste
It's fat, creamy, melting. Liquorice, on a background of vanilla cream, sprinkled with sweet spices.Gourmand, with, in the background, a thin and fine mineral pattern as in a chenin Loire.
    • Finish
Invigorating, quite long, creamy and spicy. Leaving after several minutes the sensation of having sucked a wet pebble. Mineral, so.

A nice Ardmore with a little bit of everything, and despite the nose getting a bit weaker with water, I still found it better with a few drops.
    • Nose
Neat: A wet bonfire glazed in honey. Well, a small one. Also there’s some seawater in there. Green paprika, with black pepper and some fresh red apples. Really nice nose.

With water: a lot sweeter now, and more apples a hint of citrus zest in there, . It flattens out a little, but there still some peat in the back.
    • Taste
Neat: Sweet and peaty, with some rosted red apples there. Not that strong, despite the streaght. Very smooth and balanced. And honey, indeed!

With water: About the same, but water worked wonders here. Everything fell into place and created a nice fresh fruity salad.
    • Finish
Neat: A little wood sour, peat, green paprika. It’s medium long, quite balanced but it loses it’s “whiff” at the end.

With water: Becomes shorter, but the peat finds it way in the front, together with the apples. The wood sour notes disappears, which is a good thing in my book.

A very unusual profile for an Ardmore, far from the usual mineral and peaty Speyside of this distillery. Very fruity, fresh and pleasant; ideal on a terrace in the sun. The complexity is present, with flavors that pass and disappear successively.
    • Nose
Surprisingly, the first contact with this Ardmore is very far from the peat / mineral that I know of this distillery. Here it is the green fruits that dominate, the peat being relegated far back in a very slight stony smoke; which will even disappear over time. White pear and green apple stand out. A little olive oil and a malty vegetable freshness pass at times.
    • Taste
First sweet on vanilla, the acidulated fruits (green apple and lemon) fight back in force. A little anise in the back of the mouth. No trace of peat, on the other hand; all about young fruits. Steam of sweet white wine at times, and ginger after a long aeration. Oily feeling and overall heady.
    • Finish
Final long, spicy on the tongue. The oily sensation lines the mouth. Citric acid is present.

Hmm, don't know about this one. It is certainly interesting. But not really enjoying it very much....
    • Nose
      Ashtray. Little sour. Old closet.
    • Taste
Edgy. Again with that littlebit of sour. Reminds me of vinegar. And of course peaty.
    • Finish
Very long. Endless actualy. Sweet-sour and smokey.

Great Ardmore. At first I was sceptic about this one. It's young and not of the great vintage 1992, I expected little.

Strong whisky with lots of different flavours. Peat and apples with some wet stones, but also very oily. Thick and broad whisky, this ardmore. Also some farmy hay notes and smoked nuts.
