Whisky Reviews for Highland Park Batch 2 TBWC

- I can't tell if this is artificially sweeten to the point of it being super sweet and delicious too. It could also be the corroded cork.
- Unlike any other Highland Park I have tried but quite pleasant!
Rubber, wood smoke, perfumed, spice(possibly cardamom), like walking through a farmyard.
With water - stronger farmyard aromas, herbal
Gentle smoke, a little furniture polish, some astringency, bitter oak, licorice root.
With water - curry
Medium, oak, wood spice, quite drying, vague sasparella.
With water - longer, spicier, smoke is the lasting note with bitter oak.
- Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Some peat, honey and a touch of ash give way to pineapple and tropical notes. Creamy with pineapple turkish delight. Toffee, wedding cake and a hint of coffee icing. A little green mango develops.Palate: The oak comes into its own now, this is a well matured whisky, again a lick of initial peat followed by coffee, a little more wedding cake and finally dried apricots.Finish: Pineapple and oak.Overall: This fruity Highland Park really has aged wonderfully. A delight!
