  1. Whisky Hamster scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

A bold and flavor-heavy malt bringing you lots of fun. Works very well as a winter/christmas malt. Not a king of elegance but balances out all its available parts very well.

  2. Issie did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

    • Nose
warm smoke, pine needles, herb candy, honey, grasses, dried fruits, nuts,
    • Taste
Herbs, minimal honey, grasses, smoke, ash, lemon, wood

  3. Monte Gehro scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
Fine rather dry smoke, hints of a smokehouse, in puffs clearly alcohol, citrus notes towards orange
    • Taste
Strong, almost sharp onset, tart fruits (blood orange or similar), medium-sized camp fire smoke, barely sweet fruit flavors
    • Finish
Quite long, the smoke combines with a still pleasant draft and pepper to an intense finish

Peppery, ginger, blood orange, espresso, spicy oak, phenolic smoke, tart fruits, miss something the maritime character. All in all, a solid Bunna.

  6. Koalafant scored this whisky 92 points Expert Senior

Balanced balance between smoke and sherry, alcohol well integrated.
    • Nose
Pale phenolic smoke and sherry fruits (orange, bacon-wrapped figs and dates) with a hint of ethereal freshness.
    • Taste
Sweet-smoky, similar to a barbecue fire, with noticeable alcohol. Muscat.
    • Finish
Long and round with subtle bitterness

  7. Tommyknocker scored this whisky 89 points Expert Senior

Very cool as expected, but rather one to drink pure, I think he succeeded, but I have expected a bad peat bomb. Very balanced as always with MoS.
    • Nose
Pur: It dominates immediately the Bunnahabhaintypische, beautiful dirty Sherrynote with a lot of maritime influence. Then comes slowly but vigorously the fine peat behind, not so hard as expected. Cherry, raspberry and some herbs. With water: Now lighter fruit, even less smoke, comes not so great.
    • Taste
Pure: Slightly sharp onset, immediately sweet, pleasant peat with pickled cherries, here the smoke is still noticeable, but not dominant. Dark chocolate and some salt. Very full and delicious! With water: the sharpness is completely gone, now lighter fruit, some tea aroma, even the peat is not so dominant, now looks younger. Does not have to be.
    • Finish
      long, dry, oak, not disturbing.

    • Finish
Delicious salt and sherry ... TOP

Peat well present on the nose with dried fruits, iodine and hay. Chocolate attack, aqueous texture, good peat but too bitter end of mouth. Long final.

To eat under better conditions for me (I was a little sick), An interesting bunna but a little too young in the mouth, too bad because the nose was really good?
    • Nose
Peaty, a little lemony and iodized. It reminds me of a caol ila, plus smoked. The sherry is discreet (some praline notes, dried fruits), and a touch of varnish.
    • Taste
The nose promised more: alcohol is well integrated, we still find peat (less marked), dried fruits, milk chocolate and nail polish. The texture is rather dry, with a vegetal and bitter finish.
    • Finish
long, well peppery and iodized. She catches the mouth.

gold color, very peaty nose, lemon, dried fruits in shambles, light varnish, hazelnut, some hay. Strong palate in attack, powerful, chocolate, raisins, hazelnut, then a slight hollow then with bitterness but it leaves with a very long peppered and iodized finish. A whisky not very greedy, but very interesting, an original Bunna and more.

    it may be more
    • Nose
      peaty sweet
      sweet smoke
      Tar & sweetness
    • Taste
      Nuts, citations and caramel
Smoke & hot tar turn into glowing asphalt in the throat
sweet caramel mixes with salt and tingling fruit
    • Finish
hot asphalt smokes from your interior ...
mixes with salt and sweet malt
      delicious brine liquorice
      sweet tobacco
      Sweetish charred wood
