As usual delicious SC Glendronach. He is of course very sherrylastig but, despite PX, not too cute. In addition, he also has a beautiful and not intrusive wood influence.
    • Nose
Aronia honey. Steaming chocolate cake with apricots. Plum jam with plum brandy. Fresh tobacco and wet, old leather. Slightly wet bark covered with moss. Old bookshelf.
    • Taste
Grape juice. Homemade chocolate pudding and a shot of PX Sherry. Rum raisins. Then comes the oak and it tingles pleasantly. Some pepper. With dark chocolate and orange pieces.
    • Finish
Orange peel. Cocoa. Also some dark dried fruits, which are rather tart. Black tea. Walnut.

Chocolate, chocolate and chocolate. Which I love! Woho!
    • Nose
Neat: Chocolate! Chocolate and cacao together with something like pineapple candy. And all the usual sherry stuff, but sweeter.

With water: More milk chocolate than before, and fresher fruit instead of dried fruit. I find apples and grapes. But well, yeah, still cherries and figs.
    • Taste
Neat: Spicy, and chocolate again, but in that dry sherry way (yes, even though it’s a Pedro Ximenez), Blue grapes, and dried fruit.

With water: Still dry, still loads of chocolate and still grapey. But it’s fresher, and more to my liking.
    • Finish
Neat: Long, dry. Dark chocolate now, with dried apple. You know like the one you can buy at the carnival? And some hazelnuts as well.

With water: Again, a milkier kind of chocolate comes through, less apples. But hey, we found some pear.

    Producer`s tasting notes:

Colour: Scarlet through polished gold.Nose: Coca beans and crisp candied ginger roll in fich dark fruits. A delicate floral note lightens the robust sherry depth.

Palate: A fantastic combination of rich orange bitters with spiced, stewed damsons. All balanced by a drizzle of golden syrup, hints of ginger and vanilla pod in the full bodied finish.
