Delicious! Just fruity, sweet, mild and tasty. I like it very much!

    • Nose
Dark and cloudy copper shimmers rust-brown in the Premium Snifter, oily "legs" pull their thick webs back into the glass. Raisins and other dried berries fall on caramelized sugar and bitter dark chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla rise while velvety vineyard peaches combine with dark apricots. Sour cherry and juicy oranges are kissed by a few drops of rum pot, Zesten of oranges end tart and discreetly bitter. The nose is incredibly fruity and mild, the alcohol is wonderfully integrated, the sweetness in combination with fruit gains significantly in volume. Minimal show harsh impacts, sour cherries meet tart and spicy wood tones.
    • Taste
Mild and creamy, the first sip flows over the tongue, sticky and sweet sugar mixes immediately with sun-ripened oranges and peaches, the cherries and raisins are also not long in coming and sweet and fruity to advantage. Hints of dried berries and grapes, followed by milk chocolate and toffee, followed by caramel and raisins in rum.
    • Finish
Flavor and aftertaste blur, the fruit notes are still very dominant, in the aftermath are slightly bitter and understandably a bit flatter. Sugar and sweetness are still sticking on the palate, hints of tart and slightly sourish fruit notes combine with spicy and tart wood elements. With some leaves and pine needles, the finish sounds voluminous and leaves dried grapes and berries with old hazelnuts and walnuts.

Good, but by far not the best Dronach I've come across.
    • Nose
Dark, sulphury and meaty. Beef stock, old leather, matches. Then, coffee beans and dark chocolate. If you let it rest for a while, some friendlier notes emerge. These are more juicy and rounded: orange juice, white raisin, dried fruit and a hint of mint. The sulphury notes have almost vanished now.
    • Taste
Rather spicy, with pepper and clove, especially towards the end. Further, it's pretty much on orange juice, raisins, prune and figs. Not overly complex, but enjoyable.
    • Finish
Long, but lacking some power. It's rather dull, with some spice (turning a bit bitter), and dried fruit.

Smell: Cherries, hazelnuts, walnuts, chocolate, rum pot, Christmas cookies (cinnamon), Black Forest cake
Taste: strong alcoholic burning onset, then fruity sweetness and nuts. Add to that chocolate and cherries, all of medium intensity, excellent in taste. In the finish nuts, almonds and a little bitter influences of oak.
Verdict: Very nutty malt. The main influence of the nuts is pleasantly accompanied by the cherry and the oak, good taste, good balance.
    Points: 88

    Producer`s tasting notes:

Colour: Crimson goldNose: A fresh twist of lime over sweet golden sultanas, honeycomb and hints of soft vanilla.

Palate: Vibrant oak spices and roasted chestnut infuse in the Demerara caramelised orchard fruits. The citrus bite of mixed peel combines with a distant clove to give a fantastic, clean full fisnish.
