Very intense whisky, full of aroma's and flavours. A typical Tamdhu sherry bomb, I really like that style so for me this is a very pleasant one.
    • Nose
      88 88
Fruity, red fruits, raisins, coffee, pure chocolate, burnt nuts. Some bonfiresmoke as well, a full 'nose'. Also something organic, mossy. Intense nose.
    • Taste
      89 89
Strong, powerfull, intense, pepper. Red fruits, leather, chocolate, honey, very full-bodied.
    • Finish
      88 88
Still powerfull and a lot of pepper, red fruits, honey, intense. Long finish, with also some chocolate.

Very sweet, very yummy, and very spicy .... The sherry barrel is very good ... At least 9 ml. Water to 3 cl. Single Malt ...

The longer this Tamdhu breathes, the sweeter his nose will be. On the palate, the sherry influence is once again shown to advantage. It may even be given 11 ml. Water to 3 cl., As the sharpness is very fulminant present.

Besides the Ultimate cask strength Longmorn's, the Tamdhu's certainly belong to my favorite. The smell, the taste and the recognisability of ingredients, that I leave to each his own judgment. After all, it is a different experience for each of us. Cheers!

A good example of why age doesn't always matter. Very tasty.
    • Nose
Surprisingly gentle for such a high abv. Milk chocolate, toffee and fudge. Butter-y. Loads of vanilla. Cookie dough too.
    • Taste
The alcohol is more noticeable here, but still not overwhelming. Very sweet arrival with a pinch of pepper. Creamy vanilla with lots of caramel and golden syrup. Some black berries, cherries and a hint of nutmeg. It swims very well.
    • Finish
More vanilla and caramel with some mild spices. Long.

Similar to #347, but this one is just a bit fruitier and more complex. #347 is more creamy and soapy. I love the more smooth and buttery profile of #347, especially the nose. But this one is more complex and has a more developing finish. Both are great though, but the creamy #347 i just enjoyed a tad more.

If you have a sweet tooth - try that, it is excessively sweet. Much too much saccharine for me though.
    • Nose
Vegetal sweet sap, horseradish, liquorish, box of chocolates, vanilla flavoured Coca-Cola, bourbony parallel/Caribbean rum, sandalwood oil, maple syrup, light dessert note of lemon meringue pie, soufflé. Becomes sweeter, much more sugarcane-y. It reveals wild thorny bushes, heather?, thistle flowers, hay, lacquered wooden surface, rum - distinctly, candied fruit (pineapple, lemon), glazed doughnuts, milk chocolate.
    • Taste
Intensive, powerful blast of citruses and spices, woody dry note, toasted wood, intense sweetness, cloying almost, sugarcane juice, golden syrup, gooseberry, pear drops. It's a bit watery, semi-watery, yet burning, gingery (sugared ginger), nip of chilli, allspice, nutmeg, orange zest, Fanta Orange, pungent bitter fruit, cough mixture, candy floss.
    • Finish
Husky, hot, prolonged, more spice comes up, touch of salt (household soda), liquorice sweet, peppery, zesty, lemon peel, nectarine/tangerine, white currants, pear, coconut meat, syrupy-sweet but fiery alcohol burn, bitter herb tea, bitter almonds, oak-bitter, surge of salty warmth.
