Whisky Reviews for Bladnoch 1988 HMcD

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.33 points

  1. Willie JJ scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

    A nice example of Bladnoch.
    • Nose
Typical lemon citrus notes, like Lemsip and freshly squeezed lemon with sugar in it. Malty too though and an interesting sticking plaster note, along with some toasted wood. Water softens it into lemon toffee.
    • Taste
Zesty and fizzy. Extremely lively from the start. Probably not for those that like their whiskies smooth. Extremely refreshing though and great fun. Water makes it sugary like sugar crystals drizzled with lemon juice.
    • Finish
Lots of fizzing spices and sparking sugars. A bit hot at full strength. Water reduces the heat a bit.
