Nose : Pear, apple. I had Whiff of tarte tatin but it quickly vanished. Vanilla. Honey. Mint.

Mouth : Fruity, syrupy, spicy, creamy. Honey. A bit grassy.

Finish : Medium, fruity and spicy. Very nice fruity whisky.

Liked the creamy texture and the spicy and grassy touch.

Tasting from october 2016.

Nose:
Pear, apricots and vanilla. Very clean nose, this one might open up with some water. With water: Indeed this opens up very nicely. More grassy like hay are to be found. Besides the fruity notes.

Taste:
A bit of a burn from the alcohol. After that, there is much sweetness, like icing sugar, pineapple, apple and pears.
With water: It cooled down much, and it makes the sweetness and fruity notes more prominent. Also a bit of a bitter hint pops up, but nothing disrupting.

Body:
Full and silky

Finish:
Rather long. A bit dry, a tad bitter. But there is also a lot of fruity flavour in here.

Price:
I got mine for €100,- on an auction, which is a fair deal.

Presentation:
If you like it really sober, this is it. But next time they should consider using half of the label, which saves cost.....

Nose: fruity with lots of beehive notes. Apples, kiwi juice, mirabelles. Floral honey and beeswax. Hints of marshmallows. A hint of fresh, minty oak as well. Fairly simple but I love this beehive profile. Mouth: again fruity and sweet. Pears on syrup, apricots and honey. Almonds. Hints of sugared Greek yoghurt. After that, it becomes quite oaky and bourbonny – in a fresh way but not without tannins. Some grassy notes and ginger. A few fragrant, flowery touches as well. Finish: medium long, with the fruity sweetness alongside oaky notes and a hint of vanilla.

A very enjoyable springtime whisky, full of fruits and waxy notes. It feels slightly younger than it is, if not for the noticeable oaky touches.

Score: 88/100

ein leckerer alt-gereifter Bourbonfass-Whisky
man sollte ihn pur genießen
mit Wasser wird er zwar milder, aber verliert meiner Meinung nach zu viel seines Charakters
